It's going to take me a while to work through all of this, but what a great start! I like the way you worked the two universes together---not forced at all. I also like Alex's sense of humor. I'm only a "movie-verse" LOTR fan, but all your referneces ring true and Legolas's voice is perfect.

Wow ! ! ! What a great story. I'm sure you could ghost write for JRRT or the Trekies any time (just tame down the HOT parts). Again, W O W ! ! ! Have you talked to a publisher about this ? ? ?
I am more of a SciFi person, but surrounded by LotR people, so I knew exactly what was going on without the annoying detail knowledge that could drive you nuts... The detail was incredible, including the cross-over stuff. Very very detailed, great action, continued excitement and adventure, with measured amounts of angst and suffering.
I hope that you have a couple of more chapters to finish out the story line... You've got me hooked ! ! !
