Hehe, cool. Interesting situation you put these two in. I will say, however, that I knew it was a chess game after the first few lines. But it was still a good oneshot.

Well written, but if you were hoping to surprise the reader at the end with the fact that it was a chess game, you failed. It was very obvious that it wasn't a battle of any sort. Also, I think you did a bit of a sloppy job with the sexual tension Gaara was feeling.
I'm not flaming you, this was still a very entertaining read.
