I loved this. I really, really did... It was gut-wrenching and beautiful at the same time and that undertone of sadness (a personal favourite of mine) just adds that little more.
You've managed to give a "killer" a conscience. And that is wonderful to see.
I applaud you for not using names in this fic because it would ruin this story, readers trying to find something to stick onto a known character.
