It's pretty rushed too much is happening in a single chapter without any build up, too much telling rather than showing.
A big weakness of the chapter is the fact that Naruto agreed to keep his shakuton creation secret, A Suna clanleader has no leverage to force that on a Konoha Nin, and for Naruto to accept is actually a betrayal of Konoha, regardless of the fact he married into them afterwards. He of course has his own reasons to keep his techniques secret, but to sign a non disclosure agreement is retarded and leaves a paper trail,
